 Youngtown Rock and Roll Museum

...The first, the original, the authentic
“Rock and Roll Museum” in Ontario, Canada.
If you’re not in Omemee, you’re in the wrong place!

Proudly named in tribute to Canadian singer, songwriter, humanitarian, and musician Neil Young, the nationally acclaimed Youngtown  Museum is a showcase of Rock n Roll artifacts and memorabilia from the first three decades of rock history... 1950’s, 1960’s, and 1970’s.  In addition to an extensive exhibit of items highlighting the work and career of Neil Young (and family) who lived in town, the museum also celebrates many other artists with an impressive collection of rare, vintage, original, and one of a kind items that have been assembled over four decades.  In particular, a significant portion of the museum also features The Beatles and Canadian performers.

Youngtown’s world class collection includes artist owned instruments and clothing items, vintage promotional pieces, artist hand written letters, an extensive array of in-person autographed pieces, vintage music collectibles, toys, posters, books, photographs, records, artwork and so much more.  In truth, most visitors are simply blown away by what they discover at the museum here in our wee village of Omemee... the town in North Ontario as captured in Neil’s classic song “Helpless”.

Youngtown Rock and Roll Museum began in 2007 and officially opened its doors to the public in the spring of 2008.  Although presently privately owned, the museum operates essentially as a non-profit venture staffed by volunteers and numerous supporters.  One need only visit the museum to see the passion that has gone into this project.  If you want to step back to the dawn of classic rock then come visit the Youngtown Museum... suitably housed in the actual childhood home of Neil Young’s best friend!

Imitated but not duplicated, experience the real deal... only in Omemee.
